Getting to Crete!

Crete is accessible by airplane by two (2) international airports:

• Nikos Kazantzakis Heraklion Airport (HER) and
• Ioannis Daskalogiannis Chania Airport (CHQ)

Car rentals can also be arranged.  Click on AutoEurope.eu for EU renters or AutoEurope.com for US renters.  Traditionally AutoEurope has had very good rates and they will meet or beat competitor's prices!  For a real treat, you can choose to arrive to the island by Ferry!  Alternatively, regular Bus Service is available to and from the airports and all over the island with a bus stop conveniently located at the front of Panormo village.

• From Athena's Hideaway, Panormo Village centre is 10 minutes by foot, approx 1000 meters
• Airports: Heraklion 45 minutes or Chania 56 minutes by car/taxi to Athena’s Hideaway 
• Taxi from Panormo to Rethymno - 20 minutes: 22 km
